Arizona Biltmore Hotel and Spa

This August we partnered with the AZ Biltmore Hotel for an array of photography needs. Our project focused on imagery that would be feature stories in the yearly in-suite hotel magazine. We captured portraits, interior spaces and product photography, here are just a few and make sure to check back for the tearsheets this Fall. It's always a pleasure to work with this team and be on the Biltmore property.  

Westin Kierland Resort & Spa

We recently had the pleasure of working at the Westin Kierland on property capturing a variety of their needs for retail and guest services (in suite product amenities). The shoot highlighted many of the wonderful AZ exclusive items the resort carries along with gorgeous chef creations. It was a great 2 days of taste testing and working with the Westin Kierland team - thank you! 


SanTan Brewing Company

Since 2007 SanTan Brewing Company has been whipping up some very tasty craft beer. With a growing brand comes new product, more locations, merch and restaurants. This company has been a long time client and we're happy to always have the opportunity to partner on conceptual shoots to product shots on a white. Thank you for the years of great work (and all the left over cases of amazing craft beer!). 


Mar-Bro Manufacturing

Mar-Bro Manufacturing is a specialty cold former and a leading manufacturer of socket head fasteners (think performance race cars, airplanes, custom motorcycles screws and bolts).  Integrity, customer service, quality, and dependability are the cornerstones of this family-run business. With a new website on the way, they turned to Zone 6 Productions and Patrick to capture the core strengths of their company and products through photography. We enjoyed worked with this industrial product and approaching it as fine art. Looking forward to future projects - thank you Mar-Bro! 


Portsmith Company

We were introduced to Portsmith Co. and the CNCH minimalists wallets & Fulcro bottle openers at our studio open house almost 2 years ago, wow does time fly! We were impressed with the design and the company mission and core ethics to keep as much of their manufacturing / craftsmanship local to AZ. OptoLum LED Lighting Systems

OptoLum is a leading manufacturer in the production of specification grade precision white LED lighting systems. Their lighting systems can be found in hundreds of architectural, educational, public and retail spaces across the globe. 

Our in studio multi-day shoot consisted of shooting over a hundred products both illuminated and non-illuminated with their creative agency leading the way. The imagery below is a snippet of work from the new website: http://www.optolum.com

The Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation

What a privilege to work with the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation. As one of the founding fathers of modern architecture, architect Frank Lloyd Wright felt very strongly about the connection to the Arizona desert and created Taliesin West as his winter home and school from 1937 - 1959. It continues as the headquarters of the Wright Foundation and it was a special call and opportunity to work with the FLW team to capture 800+ skus for their new 2015 store website. The project shot list included jewelry, apparel, books, prints to ornate sculptures, glass panel designs and home decor all shot both in studio and on location. Talking Stick Resort and Casino

It’s not often you can say you style and shoot a unabomber, a suit, and tommy bahama for an upcoming photo-shoot.  Well, that’s just what took place inside our studio in January. Local agency, Riester came to photographer Patrick Darby and tonic with a great concept that incorporated these three poker personas for their upcoming poker tournament ad for the Talking Stick Resort and Casino. We had a long production list to produce this concept and a great time with the Riester team to put this one together. We brought in our good friend and local stylist Abby Ripes to source the needs for the “No one enters the arena without battle gear” concept. Here’s the tear sheet and a great behind the scenes shot. We can definitely say we are now experts in poker personas and sourcing lockers… anything for our clients!

Harvest Snaps Product Shoot

This May we received a call from our friends at Catapult to work with one of their long time design and packaging clients, Harvest Snaps. The two day shoot included a shot list of six flavors with styled individual and group shots for their Snapea Crisps and Lentil Snaps. The goal with the styling was to really promote their story of flavor, natural and simple ingredients. We had a great two days on set with the Catapult and Harvest team and are looking forward to future projects with this fun group and brand.

Peter Piper Pizza

We’ve been working with Peter Piper Pizza for a few years now and always have a blast collaborating with their creative marketing team.  In January they produced a TV spot at their Carefree Store and tonic was commissioned to capture lifestyle stills mirroring the motion footage. During this 3-day production and working along side the film crew, we were able to provide PPP with a great series of stills to update their lifestyle image library.

Zone 6 Productions brings in the Phase One IQ 180 camera system

While I’m not typically one to tote technology and publish anything talking about megapixels and dynamic range etc, our new capture system that we received mid last week is an exception!

It’s important for our clients to know they are getting the very best in quality and versatility, now more so than ever I can state this with confidence. Last week we received our new Phase One IQ 180. The IQ 180 will in effect, more than double the resolution to our previous output.  In simple terms, that’s massive. Additionally, our current Hasselblad system will for the most part, be replaced with a new autofocus system that supports the IQ 180 digital back.

In addition to the new hardware, we’re also offering our clients some very cool viewing and image rating flexibility on the iPad and iPhone with Phase One’s Capture Pilot app. Grab the app free from the app store and try it out the next time your in for a shoot.

Orange County Recycling Campaign

Riester, a Phoenix-based ad agency, presented a challenge to us for their client’s (Orange County) recycling campaign.

The campaign addresses the positive affects of individual’s contribution to recycling and the agency needed a clean, conceptual visual to represent this. They supplied the studio with a pre-existing figural image and a rough client approved female figure.

We were then faced with the challenge of bringing the concept to visual reality and creating a finished product using both supplied and original photography.
